One of Michael Phelps' teammates said in a post-swim interview that we would now have to call all great Olympic feats Phelpsian, as they did when calling Mark Spitz' performance Spitzean. While winning 8 gold medals and simultaneously shutting down the French "We will smash the Americans" Team and other assorted naysayers, I believe he has earned the honor.

Nobody seems to have discovered this besides me. Aaron Peirsol flipped off either Spitz or the French.. don't know who the bird was meant for.. but he clearly was flipping off someone...
